The further treatment of the injured patient is summarised in this slide.

A = Airway; This must be cleared as soon as possible.

B = Breathing; This will require a clear airway followed by assisted respiration as shown.

C = Circulation; This includes not only external cardiac massage if necessary, but also a pressure bandage and elevation of any bleeding limbs.
